SUMMARY:Beyond Net Zero Network Meeting Term 4 2025 - St Columba's College
DESCRIPTION:Is your school interested in sustainability?  Are you interested in working towards net zero? \nIf yes\, you’re invited to join a network of schools who are interested in climate adaptation and mitigation\, or sustainability more generally! It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or well established.  This network is about sharing ideas\, advice and support. Anyone staff or parents from you school is welcome to attend. \nCircular Economy is the new buzz word for the environment.  The Victorian government’s Circular Economy Policy will influence the ResourceSmart Schools program and all aspects of our lives.  There are lots of opportunities to save money on resources\, promote design thinking and develop problem solving skills. \nSt Columba’s in Essendon is hosting the Term 4 Beyond Net Zero Network meeting\, and you can hear about how they teach and implement Circular Economy concepts. \nThe program includes presentations on St Columba’s Precious Plastics Program and from Moonee Valley Sustainability group a local community group that has connected with the College. Hear about the possibilities of working with active community groups and how this can enhance learning.  There’ll also be a tour of the College showing their other environmental programs\, a delicious lunch\, and opportunities to network with colleagues. \nThis network is co-facilitated by Eastern Alliance for Sustainable Living (EASL) and Environment Education Victoria (EEV).
