Annual ResourceSmart School Awards, 2025
Anticipation filled the air as students, educators and school community gathered at the MCG on Tuesday June 5th, 2025. Over five hundred Victorian schools are active in the ResourceSmart Schools (RSS) program, funded by the Victorian State Government and led by Sustainability Victoria. Through RSS, schools reduce energy, water, and waste, and increase biodiversity. The theme of this year’s awards was ‘Working Together’, the ceremony proudly hosted by Costa Georgiadis. We can achieve so much when we work together, whether that’s with other students, other schools, other teachers, or the wider community beyond the school gate. By working together, our efforts combine to build the future we need!
There were so many highlights, but seeing passionate students not only get to meet Costa, but proudly show off their sustainability projects, was a real joy!
Congratulations to our eastern region winners!
