Kew High School – Sustainability Student Summit 2026

This year Kew High School ran another successful Sustainability Student Summit on Friday May 1st. EASL was proud to be a sponsor for the event, as was REPLAS and CDS Vic. The event brought together 23 schools (primary and secondary) from near and far to connect on environmental issues and solutions. The objective was also to quell climate despair and ignite optimism. One spoon full of change at a time!

Together 200 eco warriors of all ages (Grade 5s – Yr12s) shared ideas and practical solutions to implement at home and at school to co-create an earth and climate friendly future. This included a passionate 44 staff and a few parents from the schools; 53 industry & community leaders involved, local MP’s, and 44 Kew High School students who expertly guided the attendees through the day.

The event curated a variety of interesting presentations, fun activations and dynamic industry leaders who inspired and encouraged student and adults alike! Everything from a planting session, careers panel, music by students, upcycling workshops,  Indigenous Cultural session, industry partner talks and prizes galore.

This day encourages school leaders, teachers & ed connections to create community to help make their schools more eco friendly and resource smart. The day truly packed in an incredible array or inspiration for action! Congratulations to Kew High School for another successful student summit.
