Finalists gathered at a joyous and inspiring awards ceremony hosted by comedian Geraldine Hickey at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on 4 June to celebrate the winners of the 2024 ResourceSmart Schools Awards.
Now in their 15th year, the awards celebrate the legendary sustainability efforts and impacts made by schools.
This year, six EASL schools were finalists across ten categories. Of course, we think all the schools we work with are deserving of an award, for the dedication, passion and enthusiasm that they demonstrate, in working towards a sustainable future. We settled into our seats with full bellies after a sensational lunch, anticipation mounting! With many rounds of applause, winners were grinners whilst having their moment of glory, and we could not have been prouder of our schools. To all the schools who entered the awards, and of course, to the winners, CONGRATULATIONS! Until next year!!
